The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers has issued a call for papers for the next Cable-Tec Expo.
The general subject categories are general indeed; they include engineering, technical operations, plant operations, facility operations and business services. But as the official request form shows, there are vast areas to roam within those categories.
Papers could touch upon CDNs, tru2way, video transport to IP devices, data consumption management, service call reduction techniques, QoE optimization, digital troubleshooting, bonded channel operations, HVAC reliability, EPON/GPON/RFoG, MDU solutions, and any of dozens of other subjects.
Proposals addressing the specific topics described there will be given priority, but other topics will be considered. The Expo 2011 Program Committee, chaired by Suddenlink CTO Terry Cordova, will review all technical proposals.
The deadline to submit proposals is June 10.
This year, Cable-Tec will be held Nov. 14-17 in Atlanta.
