Earlier this week, Paul J. Cancienne II joined Charter Communications as vice president, legislative affairs.
In this role, Cancienne oversees Charter’s federal legislative efforts and is based in the company’s Washington, DC office. He reports to Catherine Bohigian, Charter’s executive vice president, government affairs.
Cancienne joined Charter from the office of United States Senator John McCain, where he served as general counsel. Prior to that, he spent many years in high-level staff positions in the House of Representatives, including as deputy chief of staff to Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack and as policy coordinator for the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade.
“Paul’s extensive legislative experience in and knowledge of both the House and the Senate will greatly benefit Charter as we work to advance legislation that supports economic growth, a competitive marketplace, and consumer choice. We are excited to have him join Charter’s Washington team,” said Bohigian.
