With this surge and demand of OTT digital platforms, CenturyLink, Inc. has announced an agreement with Streamroot, a provider of peer-to-peer networking solutions that can be paired with CenturyLink’s content delivery network (CDN). Known as CenturyLink CDN Mesh Delivery, the platform uses a software-based mesh network that can manage heavy traffic loads.

The mesh delivery platform can source video content from both a CDN and a mesh network of devices watching the same stream.
