Charter Communications has appointed David Merritt to its board of directors, which is being reconstituted after the company’s emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Merritt has served on Charter’s board since 2003. He is also a managing director of BC Partners, a financial advisory firm. From October 2007 to March 2009, Merritt served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of iCrete. He is also a director of Outdoor Channel Holdings, serving as chairman of its Audit Committee.
Merritt will be chair of Charter’s Audit Committee. And Christopher Temple will join Merritt as a member of the Audit Committee.
The board elected Robert Cohn, W. Lance Conn and Eric Zinterhofer to the Compensation and Benefits Committee of the board. Conn will serve as the chair of the Compensation and Benefits Committee.
