Cogeco Cable is set to increase speeds and data allocations of its broadband service for all of its business customers.
The company said it has already prepped its network to implement the improvements in its Business High-Speed Internet (HSI) packages in both Ontario and Quebec. The company said its customers will see the changes take effect over the course of this month.
Upload speed of the Business Starter package will be accelerated to up to 2 Mbps, and the monthly data usage limit will be increased to 200 GB, upgraded from 640 kbps and 120 GB, respectively. The maximum download speed remains unchanged at 10 Mbps.
Business Standard package subscribers will get a new upload speed of up to 2 Mbps and a monthly data usage limit of 250 GB, formerly 1 Mbps and 200 GB, respectively. The maximum download speed remains unchanged at 16 Mbps.
The Business Ultimate 30 package is replaced by the new Business Ultimate 45 package, with a higher download speed of up to 45 Mbps and a monthly data usage limit of 350 GB, formerly 30 Mbps and 300 GB, respectively. The current maximum upload speed of 2 Mbps remains unchanged.
The new Business Ultimate 60 package replaces the former Ultimate 55 package. This package is now enhanced with a download speed upgrade reaching up to 60 Mbps, versus 55 Mbps with the former package. The monthly data usage allowance remains unlimited, and maximum upload speed remains at 2 Mbps.
Ron Perrotta, vice president of marketing and strategic planning at Cogeco Cable, said: “Our upgraded packages better meet our customers’ and prospects’ needs in this respect. These upgrades, accompanied with no change in pricing and the opportunity to lock in current rates with our “three-year price guarantee,” illustrate our efforts to provide entrepreneurs with the most flexible Internet service they can get.”
