Comcast has beefed up its international channel offering, making 42 new networks available to Xfinity TV customers nationwide.
The new channels, which include Star India Plus, Zee TV, TV Asia, Globo, Record TV, TV5Monde, TV Japan and Willow sports content, are available on Xfinity X1 and through the Stream TV app and portal on mobile devices, computers and Roku devices.
Combined with the addition of Sling TV’s international programming on X1 in April, Comcast said its international experience now includes more than 415 networks across 20 languages.
Customers can also use the X1 voice remote to find curated international channels by region using commands like “Asian Entertainment,” “European Entertainment,” “Brazilian Entertainment,” or browse more broadly by simply saying “International.”
Xfinity TV customers can add international channels and packages starting at $6.99 per month.
“With the demand for multicultural content increasing, we are thrilled to complement our existing array of international programming by adding more channels all thoughtfully curated into an easy way to navigate, discover and enjoy,” Rebecca Simpson, executive director of international strategy for Comcast Cable, said in a statement.
