Comcast Business announced Tuesday it is expanding its services to cover more than 450 local businesses in North Salt Lake, Utah.
Comcast said companies and other organizations in the area will now have access to a network providing Internet speeds of up to 10 gbps and Comcast’s suite of Ethernet services, including Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line, and Ethernet Network Service.
Businesses will also have the option to deploy Comcast Business VoiceEdge, a cloud-based voice and communications solution, the company said.
Comcast said it chose to expand into the area due to the sheer volume of local firms that signed up for its service.
According to Lane Beattie, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, the new high-capacity network will benefit an area that has historically been the “backbone of industry” in North Salt Lake and will help local businesses continue the momentum.
