After $250,000 in investment and installation of one and a half miles of fiber underground and aerial, Comcast Business has announced the extension of its 10Gbps network to businesses in San Ramon, California. The network is meant for small businesses, and can service 167 businesses.
“With access to high-speed Internet, local companies are able to achieve their full potential,” said Ted Girdner, Vice President of Comcast Business for California, in a statement. “This expansion enables businesses in San Ramon to grow and expand, supporting new job creation and bolstering economic opportunities.”
All of Comcast Business’ services are delivered over an advanced network that spans 140,000 miles and features a 100 Gbps backbone. Bandwidth is available up to 10 Gbps and can be scaled in increments and offered in three different classes of service.
