Comcast Business has pushed its fiber network into a business park in Pleasanton, Calif. en route to delivering Ethernet, data, Wi-Fi and voice services to various businesses located in the park.
With the fiber upgrade, Valley Business Park is now being served by a network that features speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
Located in the southeast corner of Pleasanton, Valley Business Park is a 60-acre business and light industrial park that includes professional offices and neighborhood commercial activities. Initially built as a manufacturing park 40 years ago, Valley Business Park now serves nearly 150 businesses across a mix of industries ranging from manufacturing to biotech to education to consumer.
“High-speed Internet is the first thing prospective tenants ask about when they’re considering Valley Business Park,” said Bryan Bowers, president of Valley Business Park. “By offering additional data and voice services in the business park, we’ll be better positioned to attract new companies who understand the importance of reliable network connectivity in today’s business landscape as well as to provide more options for current tenants.”
Businesses have access to Comcast’s Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line, and Ethernet Network Services that provide Internet access, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint connectivity. One of the strengths of Ethernet, versus traditional T1 lines, is that it can scale bandwidth as the usage needs of the businesses increase over time.
