Comcast has launched its wireless data service, which is branded as Xfinity Internet 2go, in Colorado.
Comcast’s Internet 2go is enabled through its partnership with Clearwire and provisions a mobile Internet offering via wireless data cards for consumers.
Comcast offers a fourth-generation, or 4G, wireless service in addition to a nationwide 3G wireless service, the latter of which is provisioned through Sprint’s network.
Comcast is selling the wireless data service independently or as an add-on with one or more triple-play services.
“Colorado is known for being a state that embraces technology, and having 4G and 3G wireless service with blazing fast Internet speeds is evidence to that fact,” said Rich Jennings, regional vice president of the Comcast Mile High Region. “Comcast continues to drive innovation in the market, whether it’s with video, voice, the Internet or now wireless – all for the ultimate benefit of customers.”
