After a successful debut on Apple’s iPad, Comcast has updated its Xfinity TV app for the iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
Comcast first launched streaming video to iPads last year, but it recently updated the Xfinity TV app to include the iPhone and iPod Touch devices. The latest version of the app in Apple’s store is 1.5, and it also includes the ability to schedule DVRs remotely, which originally was just available for the iPad.
The Xfinity TV app also now automatically gives Comcast customers mobile access to the same TV channel lineup that they have at home.
The app connects via Wi-Fi but lets Comcast subscribers use the service outside of their homes. The experience of returning to the application in search on an iPhone has also been improved.
