Comcast announced today that it has hired Cynthia Hook as its new general auditor and senior vice president.
In her new job, Hook oversees all internal audit staff, risk management and the performance of financial, operational and systems audits, among other responsibilities. She reports to the Audit Committee of the board of directors of Comcast and to Comcast CFO Michael Angelakis.
“[Hook] is a highly experienced and well-respected finance and audit professional,” Angelakis said. “We are very pleased to have her lead our audit team and maintain the strong financial controls and high operating standards we have at Comcast.”
Prior to joining Comcast, Hook spent 12 years at Dell, most recently serving as the vice president of global audit and transformation, where she was responsible for the global audit function, as well as transformation initiatives for the finance function and supporting business-wide change initiatives.
Hook also held senior finance positions within several groups at Dell, including product group, information technology, Dell international services, Dell Americas operations, corporate business group and corporate planning.
