Comcast announced today that Curt Henninger is the new regional senior vice president for its California division.
In his new role, Henninger will report to Steve White, president of Comcast’s West Division. Henninger will oversee all aspects of Comcast’s video, high-speed Internet and telephone operations in both the Bay Area and in central California, serving more than 2.4 million customers and managing about 7,000 employees. Henninger started his new role immediately and is based in the company’s Livermore office.
“Curt’s proven track record of delivering superior operating results, combined with his passion for improving the customer experience, will be invaluable as he leads the diverse and technology-savvy California market,” White said.
Henninger joined California from Comcast’s Oregon & Southwest Washington Region, where he most recently served as regional senior vice president. In this position, he held management responsibilities for about 600,000 customers and 2,000 employees.
Under Henninger’s leadership, the Oregon & Southwest Washington Region was selected as Comcast’s “System of the Year” twice in a four-year period.
“I am elated and honored to assume this new leadership role for one of Comcast’s most dynamic markets,” Henninger said. “I look forward to working with the outstanding Comcast employees in California to further improve our relationship with our customers and to provide the best entertainment and communications experience in the state.”
Prior to leading the Oregon & Southwest Washington market for Comcast and AT&T Broadband, Henninger was the vice president of sales and marketing for MediaOne in New England. Before entering the cable industry, he spent five years in the wireless phone industry as director of sales and distribution of sales channels for AirTouch Cellular.
