Whether you’re a football fan or not, if you turn on a TV in the United States this Sunday, you’re very likely to be offered up some form of programming that revolves around the Super Bowl. That’s because even when fans complain that the hype is just too much, the reality is they can’t seem to get enough. Looking to satiate some of that seemingly unquenchable craving for all things gridiron on Feb. 5, Comcast revealed its X1 plans in an effort to provide its TV subs “the ultimate football destination on X1.”
For those who cannot wait, X1 is currently offering 30-minute recaps of every Super Bowl and highlights from this year’s playoffs. They also can browse related web clips and also get a preview some of this year’s Super Bowl commercials. X1 subs can access the programming via Xfinity On Demand, the X1 sports app, or by saying “sports” into the voice remote.
Comcast also points out that X1 customers can watch the game on Fox from any screen in the home — on the TV and across devices via the Xfinity TV app. Additionally, X1 customers can pull up the sports app on their TV and track real-time player and team stats.
Fox Sports Go also is offering a live stream of the game for phones, tablets, and computers. More on that is available here.
