The Cable Show is headed to Beantown next year with Turner Broadcasting Chairman and CEO Phil Kent and Comcast Cable President Neil Smit onboard as co-chairs.
“Phil Kent and Neil Smit are visionaries in the cable industry, and we are grateful for their leadership in building cable’s annual platform for inspiring and highlighting innovative new products and services that cable is delivering to American consumers,” said National Cable & Telecommunications Association President and CEO Michael Powell. “Their insights and creativity will help shape a meaningful and constructive dialogue among the industry’s most influential stakeholders in media and entertainment.”
The Cable Show 2012 will mark the first time the NCTA has hosted the event in Boston.
“Boston is an incredible innovation and intellectual ecosystem and home to some of America’s best universities, thought leaders and visionaries. It’s a perfect city to demonstrate the cutting-edge distribution technologies being developed by our industry and the amazing, award-winning content that consumers value,” Smit said.
