Concurrent announced today that Andy Huang and Jim Denenny have joined the company.
Huang, who has more than 20 years of engineering, product management and technology leadership experience in the video industry, was hired as Concurrent’s vice president of engineering. He is tasked with leading the company’s multi-screen efforts for service providers, content providers and advertising stakeholders.

This expertise and business experience enhances our ability to develop and deliver the technologies and solutions our customers need to thrive in an increasingly competitive video industry.”
Prior to Concurrent, Huang served as director of engineering for IP video at Cisco, where he helped drive the innovation of new media technologies, including home networking, display, middleware and more. He also held various executive roles at Scientific Atlanta, including director of product management and R&D. During his nearly 10-year career with the company, he led a number of high-profile initiatives, including developing the company’s set-top box strategy for China, as well as leading the creation of the IPTV/iTV access network and system architecture for cable operators.
Jim Denenny was hired as Concurrent’s vice president and general manager of Web and mobile video solutions. In this role, he will help lead the company as it further expands its presence amongst content, Internet and wireless service providers.

Prior to joining Concurrent, Denenny served as vice president and general manager at ANT Software. He also spent 10 years at RealNetworks and served in numerous senior management positions, including general manager of Real’s video services business unit.
