Lemo announced that it has redesigned the outer shell of its S Series connectors with the company’s iconic “chocolate block” look.
The new S Series uses the half-moon insert configuration. It’s fully compatible with the existing S Series connectors on the market since the early 1960s. Both the straight plug and free receptacle now use the same collet as Lemo’s B Series. The change means a slightly different cable range than the previous S Series.
Lemo’s S Series is available in sizes 0S, 1S, and 2S for cables ranging from 1.4 mm to 9.9 mm. The S Series offers multipole contacts from 2 to 10, as well as unipole, coax, triax, and multiconcentric configurations.
S Series applications include test & measurement (high-end probes) and medical probes, as well as broadcast, audio/video, communications (GPS, antennas, and transmitters), battery chargers, high current and high power, and more. Lemo describes the S Series as the perfect solution for anti-rotation and blind mating applications.
