Corning Cable Systems has won a deal to supply PON-based fiber-to-the-home gear to Capitol Infrastructure LLC.
Capitol is in the process of deploying FTTH to about 200,000 homes. It is presently contracted to provide services to more than 35 residential communities in parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.
Under the deal, Corning will supply all of Capitol’s fiber optic feeder and distribution cables, as well as cabinets, terminal distribution systems, and drop cable assemblies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
