Cox Communications has introduced its MyPrimetime service in two more markets.
Cox subscribers in Omaha, Neb., and Santa Barbara, Calif., markets now have on-demand access to content from various networks, including ABC, NBC, Cartoon Network, FX, TBS, AMC, Sci Fi and TNT.
Through the service, episodes of primetime series are available to view anytime, free of charge, to Cox Digital Cable customers starting the day after they air on the network. Shows are available for up to 28 days.
Cox now has MyPrimetime in 10 of its 18 markets. The others are Orange County, Calif.; New England; Kansas/Arkansas; Arizona; Macon, Ga.; Roanoke, Va.; Tulsa, Okla.; and Greater Louisiana. Next up on the list is San Diego in May.
Bob Nocera, Cox’s director of marketing for new video services, said MyPrimetime is now available to more than half of the company’s digital cable subscribers, “and we look forward to offering it to all digital customers by the end of the year.”
