In an effort to better serve small business customers, Cox Business announced this morning the launch of its VoiceManager IP Centrex service.
The cloud-based service is fully managed by Cox Business, which lets small business owners focus on running their day-to-day operations while reducing the demand on their IT staff and other employees. With no upfront equipment investment and one monthly fee, IP Centrex provides a predictable voice platform for businesses, making forecasting and expense management simple, according to Cox.
IP Centrex is hosted in the cloud over Cox Business’ private network, providing built-in business continuity to minimize the impact of natural disasters or network attacks.
“IP Centrex is ideal for growing organizations that don’t have the time to manage their phone system, but need secure, business-class capabilities,” said Jeff Adelmann, vice president of product development and management of Cox Business. “The cloud-based solution delivers the complexity of traditional PBX or key systems in a reliable, affordable voice system that can be managed remotely. We’re delivering technology our customers need to grow, and that’s our priority at Cox Business.”
All VoiceManager IP Centrex customers receive Cisco SPA phones, which feature a portfolio of IP phones made specifically for business operations.
