Cox announced today that its Caller ID to the TV service has launched in Chesapeake, Va.
Caller ID to the TV is available to Cox customers who subscribe to both Cox digital telephone with Caller ID and Cox digital cable. Cox first launched the service in October of last year in Oklahoma City and deployed it in Rhode Island this year.
“Now you can check who is calling without ever taking your eyes off the television screen. In fact, the caller identification shows up onscreen before you hear the telephone ring,” said Chris Pantoya, Cox’s vice president of marketing. “This is another benefit of being a multi-product Cox customer.”
Caller ID to the TV is the latest enhancement to the company’s interactive television (iTV) platform that provides instant access to information via the TV screen. Cox said iTV enables the integration of phone and Internet with the TV to provide valuable information for viewers.
