Cox Communications added to the duties of Christine Pantoya by appointing her to vice president of marketing and sales in its northern Virginia system.
Pantoya was previously Cox’s vice president of sales, but with today’s announcement her job now includes leading the branding, marketing and sales activities for residential video, data and telephony, as well as marketing for commercial products, in the Fairfax County and Fredericksburg region.
A 13-year sales and marketing professional, Pantoya came to Cox Communications from Enhanced Wireless, where she served as national vice president of sales with oversight responsibility for a field organization of 600 employees.
Prior to joining Enhanced Wireless, Pantoya was Mid-Atlantic regional vice president for Clearwire, where she was responsible for establishing sales channels and launching new markets in Richmond, Va., and Raleigh N.C. Pantoya also spent eight years at Sprint Nextel, where she served as regional vice president for field sales/general business.
“Chris’ (Pantoya) talents and innovative vision are a great fit for Cox,” said Janet Barnard, senior vice president and general manager for Cox Northern Virginia. “Her dynamic leadership will enrich our marketing and sales efforts as we address competitive challenges and deliver on our vision to be the most trusted provider.”
