Digi International will highlight its Digi XBee3 series of smart edge IoT modules and modems, with a particular emphasis on their Digi XBee3 series of next-generation radio modules, modems, software and tools for IoT applications at the network edge at electronica 2018 in Munich, Germany, Hall B5, Stand 263. The latest in this series is offered in a micro form factor that supports compact, low-power, low-profile applications.
Offering a modular approach to IoT connectivity, the micro-sized Digi XBee3 also supports MicroPython programmability and dual-mode radios, with software upgrades to Bluetooth LE, giving designers wireless design flexibility, cost-effective integration, and easily added functionality and configurability.
Digi XBee3 Cellular supports new and emerging low-power wide-area (LPWA) standards such as LTE-M and NB-IoT, in a compact form factor, simplifying the process of integrating cellular connectivity into IoT devices.
Demos include Remote IoT connectivity with Digi XBee3 Cellular (LTE-M/NB-IoT)
Also highlighted will be the Digi ConnectCore 8X platform for edge intelligence and machine learning delivering out-of-the-box software components for cloud-services integration, machine learning, and vision/video/voice capabilities
Ideally suited for industrial and medical applications, the Digi ConnectCore 8X will provide a complete platform to build cost-effective, differentiated, connected products — while sidestepping traditional design efforts, costs, delays, and risks. The pre-certified embedded platform that combines simplicity, software value, a range of hardware capabilities, and services options.
Digi will also showcase its solutions with several demonstrations of the latest embedded technology and also share its expertise by leading multiple educational sessions including the following:

Demos
Remote IoT connectivity with Digi XBee3 Cellular (LTE-M/NB-IoT) – Using Digi XBee3 Cellular device and cloud-based Digi Remote Manager (DRM) to remotely monitor and control devices located in multiple locations from the trade show floor.
Digi XBee3 complete end-to-end IoT networking solution – Demonstration of an end-to-end IoT networking solution comprised of Digi XBee3 modules, Digi XBee Industrial Gateway and network/device management tools.
SteadyServ iKeg demonstration – This demo will show the SteadyServ iKeg application, which utilizes sensors to measure keg volume. A Digi ConnectPort gateway analyzes the data locally, then uses a Zigbee connection to get that data into the cloud. The iKeg application gathers information from the cloud and offers an interface that displays analytics for bar managers, enabling them to accurately inventory beer and order new inventory.
