In order to better support partners that bundle its video services into their offerings, DirecTV has deployed additional software from Amdocs.
DirecTV is using Amdocs’ Mediation software in order to capture more revenue from reseller agreements. It also gives consumers the choice to receive DirecTV products via a larger number of channels and bundles spanning wireline, wireless and Internet services.
Amdocs Mediation works by analyzing the service data from both DirecTV and partner systems, expanding DirecTV’s auditing and error-handling capabilities for large volumes of data. As a result, Amdocs said DirecTV was improving revenue assurance and enhancing the customer experience by automatically identifying and triggering discounts for eligible partners.
DirecTV and Amdocs’ business relationship goes back to 1994, and it includes Amdocs helping handle transactions for 19 million national and 9 million Latin American DirecTV customers.
