Dish Network is offering free HD for life, starting immediately. Basically, the company is eliminating its $10-per-month add-on fee for its basic HD package.
The company’s package of premium HD channels, including Epix and other studio-backed movie channels, will still be an additional $10 per month.
To get the deal, most subscribers will have to sign a two-year contract.
However, for subs who have been subscribing to the “HD & Platinum” package at $10 per month prior to June 3, they will automatically be graduated to “HD Free for Life.” They no longer have to enter into a 24-month “HD Free for Life” agreement, nor do they have to pay the $99 HD programming upgrade fee, the company said.
The deal was announced on Dish’s corporate blog, and commercials have already popped up on YouTube.
