Comcast’s programming deal with Walt Disney earlier this year continues to resonate with its customers. Comcast is now offering its authenticated subscribers live shows from Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD on its Xfinity.com/tv Web portal.
Viewers will now be able to watch the Disney shows and movies on their PCs. In June, Comcast and Disney announced that live streaming was available from the same three channels on iPhones and iPads.
“We know from our research and from listening to our customers that they’re most passionate about having access to the latest news, sports and kids’ content wherever they are, whether at home or on-the-go,” wrote Comcast chief blogger J T. Ramsey. “Given that, in addition to building our video-on-demand and linear TV offerings on TV, we’ve been bringing live streaming content to Xfinity.com/tv. This year, for those customers who like to keep up on the latest news, we started by offering CNN and HLN. We then brought great sports action with multiple ESPN networks.
“And now, we’re excited to bring live kids’ content to Xfinity.com/tv with multiple Disney channels, in addition to all of the content we already have On Demand and exclusively on mobile devices via the Watch Disney Channel app.”
