ANDOVER, Mass., Sept. 7, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq:DRCO), a leading provider of innovative management consulting, engineering, and technology solutions, today announced that its High Performance Technologies (HPTi) operating unit was awarded a $39 million contract to provide policy, guidance, and human capital support for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Systems Engineering (DASD) (SE). The contract’s base and options total four years. The contract calls for the company to provide specialty engineering support to the DASD (SE) in the execution of the regulatory and statutory policy, guidance, specialty engineering, and human capital functions of large Department of Defense (DoD) acquisitions.
HPTi has been supporting the DASD (SE) organization since 2004, bringing years of experience in large-acquisition, the assessment of major defense programs, program management, systems engineering, and hands-on interaction with the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This contract will support the DASD (SE) in ensuring that acquisition programs are getting sufficient systems engineering support to meet cost, schedule, and performance needs.
“We’re pleased with this award, which evidences the strength of the HPTi’s customer relationships,” said Jim Regan, DRC’s chairman and chief executive officer. “HPTi’s core capabilities in computational science, enterprise technology and planning, systems architecture and engineering, secure mission software development, and knowledge discovery and visualization match well with the technical nature of the objectives of this contract.”
