EchoStar said Tuesday that David Rayner will return to the company as chief financial officer, and current CFO Kenneth Carroll will lead the company’s corporate and business development.

EchoStar sells set-top boxes and also provides satellite services to Dish Network.

Rayner left EchoStar in November 2011 to become CFO of a start-up based in Denver. EchoStar said he has been involved with the company since 2004, when EchoStar and Dish Network were part of the same company.

Shares of EchoStar rose 2 cents to $32.55 in morning trading.
