Ecliptek introduces new quartz spread spectrum quick turn oscillators

October 25, 2010 By Medical Design Technology

These new products further enhance Ecliptek’s extensive offering of quartz and MEMS based frequency control products.

The new 3.3VDC EPSA13 (5mm x 7mm) and EPSA23 (3.2mm x 5mm) series are available in frequencies up to 200.000MHz while the 2.5VDC EPSA12 (5mmx7mm) and EPSA22 (3.2mm x 5mm) series are offered up to 166.000MHz. These series of spread spectrum oscillators enable Ecliptek customers to achieve excellent cycle to cycle period jitter performance and improved frequency temperature stability in a multitude of circuit designs.

Sold with an extended operating temperature range of -40C to +85C, these RoHS compliant spread spectrum quartz resonator based clocks can be utilized in numerous circuit applications, including system references and clock distribution. Typical end products utilizing this quick turn technology encompass networking, industrial control, hand held and portable devices, as well as computer peripherals and test equipment.

Ecliptek’s EPSA Spread Spectrum oscillators are designed to reduce EMI on the output signal while providing both center spread and down spread modulation. Unlike traditional spread spectrum oscillators, Ecliptek can deliver these new products within days, as opposed to weeks or months.
