EGT Inc., a maker of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 digital video encoders and processing gear, has hired Advanced Media Technologies to sell, market and support its wares in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“With AMT’s experience, resources, and relationships, operators will be able to obtain and deploy EGT’s flexible video solutions in their networks confidently and quickly,” said EGT President John Lappington, in a statement.

AMT is a subsidiary of ITOCHU International.
