Emergica Broadband Media Corp. has teamed with Broadstream Communications Inc. to help the company launch an IPTV service via ADSL2+ and fiber-to-the-home networks in northern Colorado.
Broadstream, a turnkey IPTV outsourcer that provides headend, transport and middleware services and support, said it will deliver more than 200 channels to Emergica via its satellite-based IPTV Connect content distribution platform.
“Broadstream is committed to providing operators of all sizes with the most cost-effective solution to quickly launch IPTV services, and our agreement with Emergica provides the best solution for these small- to mid-sized markets,” said Broadstream EVP of Sales & Marketing Jay Stark, in a statement.
Emergica plans to offer voice, video and data services to more than 5,000 homes in Fort Collins by year-end. Next year, the company has deployments planned for the Colorado cities of Loveland, Longmont and Estes Park.
