Ensequence has hired former Cablevision Media Sales executive David Kline as its chief operating officer.
Ensequence said it hired Kline to lead the development of new and interactive advertising products and services working with distributors, programmers and advertisers.
Kline had served as an advisor for advanced advertising for Ensequence since September 2012.
Prior to joining Ensequence, Kline was president and COO of Cablevision Media Sales, where he oversaw day-to-day operations for Cablevision’s advertising businesses including local cable, interconnects, regional news channels, national cable networks, newspapers and advanced advertising products.
Earlier in his career, Kline served as senior vice president and general manager of Sportschannel Ohio (now Fox Sports Ohio) and held positions at Showtime Networks,; Harte Hanks Cable; and Warner Cable.
As COO he will report directly to president and chief executive Peter Low. “We’re thrilled to have David as part of our team,” said Mr. Low. “His arrival signals the beginning of our push into advanced advertising, and we couldn’t have a more accomplished executive to lead it. He was the first to introduce interactive and addressable advertising in a major cable company, and helped the company lead the industry in advertising revenue growth in network and local markets. His experience will help us tailor our products to meet the market’s needs and guide our customers in using them most effectively.”
Ensequence’s customers include NBC/Universal, Viacom Media Networks, Showtime Networks, Turner Broadcasting, HBO, QVC, WE tv, MSG, Fuse, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Dish Network and Verizon.
