ESPN’s litigation against Verizon for breach of contract has been placed on hold as the pair attempt to negotiate a settlement, the Wall Street Journal reported.
According to court documents, a conference originally scheduled for Friday has been pushed back to the end of March to allow time for the two to talk it out.
ESPN originally filed suit against Verizon in April 2015 claiming the operator was in breach of contract over how it distributed ESPN and ESPN2 as part of its new FiOS Custom TV service.
Last week, however, Verizon launched an overhauled version of the service that includes ESPN in one of two new base package bundles customers can choose from.
Verizon has not confirmed the spat was the reason for the bundle redesign.
