Cloud-Enabled 3D Collaboration
Expanding 3D modeling for cloud enabled collaboration.
SpaceClaim has announced a new collaboration product, the Connect. The product is a new interactive collaboration platform for modeling in a 3D environment.
The company says it is as fast and secure as working on a desktop, while allowing multiple participants to interact simultaneously with a design instead of sending files back and forth through email.
Connect allows users to connect from any device without downloads or installations.
SensorWATCH Offers Access to Powerful Technology
Monitoring humidity and temperature wirelessly.
After a successful launch of SensorWATCH, ECD has announced the availability of SensorWATCH Basic. The watch features task-specific Wi-Fi instruments and software that can be selected and implemented when required.
The watch is a humidity and temperature monitoring system that provides customer audit protection, delivering around the clock access to factory conditions. This information is sent via Wi-Fi to a designated PC for storing and graphing.
If Wi-Fi is temporarily disabled, the built-in memory in each instrument stores the data, providing error-proofing and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Easing the development of Bluetooth enabled smartphone docks and Bluetooth speakers.
Microchip has announced a new PIC32 Bluetooth Audio Development Kit. The full-featured kit enables custom application development on the PIC32 microcontrollers (MCUs) for Bluetooth and USB digital audio solutions.
A PIC32MX450F256 MCU is included with the kit and runs at 80 MHz with 256 KB Flash and 64 KB RAM. Other features include:
- An audio streaming demo code that delivers up to 24-bit, 192 kHz audio.
- A modular design allowing developers to swap out the included daughter boards.
- Bluetooth.org certification.
- Support for USB host and device connectivity.
- An Apple device authentication module interface.
- A 2” color LCD, 5 general-purpose button switches, 5 LEDs, and a plug-in-module interface for PIC32 microcontroller upgrades.
Temperature-Compensated Inductor Current Sensing
95% efficiently in a small inductor footprint.
Texas Instruments has introduced the first analog DC/DC step-down controller with remote bipolar junction transistor (BJT) temperature-compensated inductor current sensing that minimizes total solution footprint in high-power POL conversion. The 20-V LM27403 DC/DC synchronous buck controller features:
- A 3 to 20 V input voltage range that converts 3.3-V, 5-V, and 12-V input voltage rails to point-of-load (POL) as low as 0.6 V with one-percent accuracy.
- 30-ns minimum on-time which allows higher switching frequencies at lower duty cycles, providing greater scalability and smaller solution size.
- 15-ns adaptive dead-time control which provides higher efficiency in high frequency operation, reducing power consumption.
- Output voltage remote sensing that gives improved load regulation in high current applications.
VTI Instruments has announced a partnership with Maya HTT for the newly upgraded Test for I-DEAS.
With support for VTI Instruments’ new EMX Dynamic Signal Analyzer products, Test for I-DEAS offers engineers a complete hardware and software environment with integration between test domains for large scale dynamic testing.
The latest upgrade to Test for I-DEAS, version 6.4, enhances functionality, adds new features, and extends the platform’s support to the latest software environments, such as Windows 8.
