People continued to ‘like’ Facebook in the third quarter, as the company Wednesday reported that it has chalked up 1.55 billion total users.
On top of the third-quarter subscriber growth, the social networking giant beat expectations, reporting $0.57 earnings per share (EPS) on $4.5 billion in revenue. Analysts had estimated Facebook would hit $0.52 EPS on $4.37 billion in revenue.
More and more, people are accessing Facebook on their mobile devices. The company said Mobile Daily active users were 894 million on average for September 2015, an increase of 27 percent year-over-year. Mobile Monthly Active Users were 1.39 billion as of September 30, 2015, an increase of 23 percent year-over-year.
Shares of Facebook were up 3 percent in after-hours to $107.14.
