Federated Wireless, which has been working with industry leaders and federal agencies including the FCC and NASCTN on developing the standards for the sharing of the 3.5 GHz band, has introduced CINQ XP – a cloud-based network that will help carriers extend the allocation and management of spectrum, an important, finite resource.
CINQ XP will allow carriers to unlock the value of the 3.5 GHz band (called the Citizen’s Broadband Radio Service), enabling them to extend network coverage to secondary markets, including both indoor and outdoor locations. It will also facilitate the use of the company’s proprietary Spectrum Access System (SAS) once testing and certification are completed.
