Even non-Xfinity internet customers can get free access to Comcast’s WiFi public hotspots on Cyber Monday, the operator announced in a blog post. The hotspots will reportedly be open to everyone from 6 a.m. ET on Nov. 28 to 6 a.m. ET on Nov. 29.
Comcast points out that Xfinity WiFi access is available on train platforms, in small businesses, and around shopping districts where many consumers will be on the prowl for holiday bargains. To log in, users can click on the “xfinitywifi” network ID from the list of available networks on their devices and sign in.
Comcast has made other free WiFi offerings in the past, including one at this year’s Super Bowl that took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. More than 10 Terabytes of data were said to have been uploaded and downloaded on the network within the stadium that day. Comcast Business Enterprise Solutions also announced back in April that free WiFi access would be available to shoppers at 700 Wawa stores in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
