How’s it moving? The vision processor knows
The green lines visible on this image are generated by software running on an NXP S32V234 vision processor that is doing what’s called Harris and Stephens corner detection and computing a sparse optical flow of interesting features within the image. Here a corner is defined as a point for which there are two dominant and different edge directions in a local neighborhood. The green lines are indicating the direction and speed of the detected corner. These capabilities come in handy for cars that are trying to track the movements of objects such as pedestrians and other cars.
