Texas-based broadband company Grande Communications is continuing gigabit deployments in its home state, this time bringing the high-speed service to Corpus Christi.
The company says its gigabit option for customers in the city went live Tuesday. The service reportedly offers improvements in speed, reliability, and capacity over the traditional internet offerings, and is available with no contract. Grande indicates its gig option also comes without usage caps.
Grande also touts that upgrading to a gig is easy for customers, since its use of DOCSIS 3.1 technology allows customers to receive the higher speeds on their existing wiring infrastructure.
“We continue to enhance broadband, entertainment, and communications solutions that focus on providing the best customer experience,” Matt Rohre, Grande’s senior vice president of operations and general manager, comments. “This expansion in Corpus Christi delivers on our commitment to expand 1 Gigabit internet service throughout all our Texas markets. With the growing need for data bandwidth, Grande continues to remain at the forefront of innovation by offering customers the fastest internet speeds.”
Residential pricing for the service has been set at $69.99 per month. Gigabit internet from Grande is also available in Dallas, Midland, Odessa, Austin, and San Marcos.
