Heilind Electronics now stocking Mersen circuit protection products

February 4, 2019 By Aimee Kalnoskas

Mersen circuit protectionHeilind Electronics is now stocking circuit protection products from Mersen — a global expert in electrical power and advanced materials.

Mersen offers a comprehensive suite of surge protection solutions designed to cover every voltage need within a facility. Most notably, the manufacturer’s Surge-Trap devices feature fail-safe overvoltage protection with industry-leading TPMOV technology. These devices are designed to meet UL 1449 Fourth Edition standards without the requirement of additional fuses, fuse holders or wiring — ultimately resulting in cost savings and reduced installation time.

Mersen is the first manufacturer to build screwless, spring pressure wire termination technology into a power fuse holder. Mersen’s UltraSafe modular fuse holders qualify as “finger safe” under IEC and DIN standards, offering up to an IP20 grade of protection during activities like fuse changing. These devices also feature up to fifteen percent less mounting space and reduce time in panel building.

Another key offering in this line is power distribution blocks. These devices split primary power into secondary circuits, providing a safe and easy method for splicing cables. Open style blocks are UL and CSA approved, while finger safe blocks eliminate the need for special covers or custom plexiglass sheets.

All of these products provide a safe, effective means to safely disconnect or redistribute AC and DC power in manufacturing applications for batteries, vehicle electronics, engine components, medical equipment, industrial machinery and more.

Visit Heilind’s website for more information about Mersen surge protective devices, fuse holders and power distribution blocks.
