Indicating added intensification to its security commitment, Comcast today announced that it hired Noopur Davis as SVP, product security and privacy for the company’s technology and product team. She joins the cable operator from Intel, where she was VP, global quality, Intel ISecG. In her new role, she’ll report to EVP/CTO Tony Werner.
The position is newly created, and Davis will oversee a full lifecycle approach to product security and privacy, which embeds security and privacy throughout the development process, from product inception to end-of-life. Davis’ team will oversee security best practices and will partner with security execs across Comcast, including Myrna Soto, SVP and global chief information security officer.
At Intel, Davis was responsible for product security, product quality, enterprise agility and other privacy initiatives. She led those for Intel Security’s entire product line to ensure the company developed secure hardware and software products. Davis holds a master’s in computer science from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s of electrical engineering from Auburn.
