Hulu with Live TV is beefing up its linear channel offering, adding The CW Network in eight cities.
Starting last week, subscribers to Hulu’s $40 per month live streaming service gained access to the CW live linear stream in Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle and Tampa.
CW programming has been available on-demand to Hulu with Live TV subscribers since last September.
Hulu said the CW live channel will continue to roll out in additional cities in the future, and customers can check to see if it’s available in their area by submitting their zip code here.
Hulu reported ending 2017 with about 17 million subscribers, but did not separate out the figures for its live TV packages from its subscription on-demand only service. In January, sources told CNBC that Hulu’s live offering had about 450,000 paying subscribers.
