Imake announced yesterday that the latest version of its OpenVision Asset Management System (AMS) has been integrated with NDS’ encryption and middleware products.
With the integration, Imake said NDS customers now have the ability to manage and monetize content across multiple platforms via different business models.
The combined offering enables the secure monetization of content through any number of business models – such as free, advertising-supported content, single pay-per-view content and collections of content. The NDS integration was the culmination of several years of integration development.
OpenVision AMS includes the ability to select multiple conditional access models, schedule re-encryption and manage content categories, which are ultimately displayed on the user’s set-top box, PC, PlayStation or mobile device.
In addition to the NDS conditional access support, the OpenVision AMS has previously integrated with other conditional access system (CAS) products and their interfaces, such as Verimatrix, Widevine Technologies and Motorola.
