Knology is on the verge of acquiring Sunflower Broadband for an estimated $127 million.
The report is from Multichannel News, which quoted “sources familiar with the matter.”
Sunflower, despite having only about 30,000 cable and telephone subscribers in Lawrence, Kan., has been an aggressive early adopter of new cable technology for years, including being one of the first to implement DOCSIS, and more recently targeted advertising.
Knology operates in Florida, South Dakota, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.
