Infographic: Breaking Down The Smart Home Revolution

June 25, 2018 By Michael Luciano

In this day and age, smart technology is influencing our offices, cars, devices, and our homes (just to mention a few). Whether we realize it or not, it’s only a matter of time before we’re completely immersed in these devices and technologies as we’re ushered in this new age of innovation. It’s been previously stated that some of the primary aims behind smart homes are to make the lives of people safer, more efficient, and cost-effective. Smart homes have other apparent benefits like increasing property values, providing easier access in and out of homes, along with delivering positive impacts on the environment.

Of course, smart devices and systems come with their shortcomings, with homes being no exception. Issues like integration, reliability, privacy, and security are prevalent, even deterring some people from making their residences “smarter”. Simply put, the smart home is a revolutionary concept that has its upsides, flaws, and improvable areas as well. The infographic below breaks down different aspects of the smart home revolution, and could help you determine if you’re ultimately ready to start embracing these technologies in your residence and life.
