Add Insight Communications to growing list of cable subscribers that have recently completed deals with NFL Networks
Insight CEO Michael Willner wrote on his blog this morning that the cable operator is offering NFL Network’s NFL RedZone to its lineup while a company spokeswoman confirmed that NFL Network is available as well.
Last month the he National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) and NFL Network announced that they reached a long-term carriage agreement, but the Insight spokeswoman said the nation’s ninth-largest cable operator has a direct deal of its own in place.
NFL RedZone, which takes viewers to different live games around the country during crucial moments such as touchdown drives, will initially be available in standard defination with a cost of $35 per month, according to Willner’s blog.
Suddenlink recently signed on with the NFL Network while Cox Communications https://www.cedmagazine.com/article.aspx?id=171234 renewed its agreement with the sports programmer.
While the NCTC deal should lead to more cable operators completing agreemetns with the NFL Network prior to the full slate of regular season games on Sept. 12, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision and Bright House Networks haven’t reach completed agreements of their own.
