Get (formerly UPC Norway) is upgrading to an IP/MPLS architecture powered by Juniper Networks’ M320 routers.
Get, which serves more than 350,000 subscribers, said the routers on the upgraded network will enable the operator to distribute broadcast-quality video from its headquarters to multiple regional cable headend sites located in major Norwegian cities.
Juniper’s M320s are equipped with 2.5 Gbps links, serving 900 Mbps of video broadcast traffic across the network.
The upgraded network will also support high-speed Internet and VoIP services.
Get is deploying the network in conjunction with Juniper’s local partner, IPnet AS.
