If you’ve ever had trouble keeping your delicate plants alive, the Bloomengine smart gardening device is here to help. The 13.4-in container creates an ideal habitat for your plant to grow, while simplifying the care regiment.
First, users take a packet of compressed soil and soak it in water for about 20 minutes. After the soil is placed in the device’s center opening, the seeds can be added on top. Next, the water tank gets a dose of liquid fertilizer and water, after which the contraption can finally power on. Finally, a cup of water is poured through holes on top of Bloomengine, filling up the water storage area below.
The 40-oz watering tank lasts 1 month without needing a refill, and a water circulating system keep the tank’s water fresh.
Users can customize conditions, like watering and lighting times, via a smartphone app. Once scheduled, the device takes care of the rest. Underneath the device’s top portion is a series of LED lighting chips, which provide adequate light for the plant, as well as warm mood lightning for indoor décor.
A micro fan supports the plant’s transpiration process by ventilating fresh air.
Bloomengine also contains one more interesting feature, a full high-definition camera that captures photos of your plant’s progress, which can be assembled into a time-lapse video.
Two models are available. The Bloomengine Color forgoes the camera, with an early bird price of $139 from its original $169. If the camera feature is something you can’t go without, then you’ll be interested in the Bloomengine Vision, which drops from $199 to an early bird special of $155.
Bloomengine’s Indiegogo page has already met its fundraising goals after launching in February. Shipments are slated to begin in June.
