The easy to handle Epocast 1617 epoxy syntactic from Huntsman is a low-density, self-extinguishing compound used for edge sealing honeycomb structures. The lightweight material exhibits high strength after curing.
Epocast 1617 A/B cures to an off-white color and is qualified to BMS 5-28, Type 17. The non-sag paste is applied with a putty knife and has a gel time of 60-90 minutes. With its high compression strength and low density, Huntsman’s Epocast 1617 is ideal as a structural component.
