At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), LG Display showcased an ultra-high-definition (UHD) rollable OLED TV. Boasting 4K resolution and spanning 65 inches, it marks a step up from 2016’s rollable 18-inch display.
According to LG, the rollable device features the importance and potential of OLEDs. However, there aren’t any details on its pricing and availability, so eager consumers will have to wait to roll-up their TV screens.
“It can be rolled up and hidden when not in use, and the small size of the rolled-up screen means that it can be more easily moved and stored, allowing for better space utilization, something existing displays can’t deliver. With this unparalleled portability, the 65-inch rollable display ensures that users can enjoy bright, high-resolution content anytime, anywhere,” according to LG in a press release.
Accompanying the rollable TV was the world’s first 88-inch 8K OLED display. The company upgraded the audio complexity of Crystal Sound OLED displays from 2.1 to 3.1 channel sound.
Falling under the “Display Your Lifestyle” slogan, LG also exhibited a 55-inch transparent display, 77-inch wallpaper OLED TV display, and the latest advancements of its IPS nano-color technology.
